Western attire (eg. jeans, boots, hats) are welcome.

BOY MEET GIRL (BMG) ACTIVITIES

These fun-filled, non intimidating activities will be wooven throughout each session.  Such activities aim for all guests to meet each other, foster lots of laughter and to award many with prizes.  

SNACKS

Snacks and beverages will be provided.  Lunch will be on your own.

This event aim to address very important topics often overlooked, when choosing a future spouse, while dating, when engaged, before and after marriage.


REV.  MARLENE M. MACKENZIE...

will communicate the value of choosing wisely and the importance and great investment in pre-marital counselling. 


DR. ANDREW BLACKWOOD...

will share 'The Art of A Genuine Apology - How to fix your relationship before it breaks'

By the end of this session all willl:

  • Understand the number one cause of relationship breakdown
  • Identify the signs of true readiness for deep and healthy engagement
  • Know how to address hurts they have caused or experienced in the past and the future!

DAWN BENNETT, FAMILY LAWYER...

will highlight there are more items to sort through than just the wedding gifts when two Single Adults plan to marry.  This enrichment session will shine a spotlight on potential topics to consider (eg. prenuptial agreements) before and after the knots are tied.

As Event Host, Marlene will be the Moderator for the day, speaking on beginning a new relationship, facilitating fun-filled Boy-Meet-Girl (BMG) activities and blessing many with door prizes.

DYNAMIC WORSHIP LEADER


Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Helena is entering into her 11th year as Worship Director at The Gathering Place of Aurora.  Helena has also been a core member and worship leader for the past 12 years with an Inner healing ministry called wounds2worship, which holds day conferences in churches and prisons.  Another thing she did 12 years ago was join a national charitable organization called Abuse Hurts and then became President of the organization 5 years ago.  She is a loving daughter to her mother and father, the doting 'mother' of an 11-year old bunny named Chester and - most importantly - she is passionate about the Lord and love to praise and worship Him - not just with music...but in everyday life.

Dawn Bennett is the founder of family law firm Bennett Law Chambers, and Owner of Mississauga Law Chambers, a business center designed for Lawyers and licensed Paralegals.  Dawn practices in the area of family law and is also  a member of the legal panel of the Office of the Children's Lawyer representing children in court in high conflict custody and access matters.  Dawn has earned honours degree in English, Business and Law.  She was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1998 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2001.
